Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Hits 3.3 Million Sales in 33 Days
Sandfall Interactive has announced an exciting milestone for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The game has sold a total of 3.3 million units worldwide in just 33 days since its release.
This achievement is particularly impressive because Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is not only the debut title from a small French studio, but also a completely new franchise. It isn’t part of any existing series or intellectual property. Additionally, the number of units sold only accounts for physical copies, meaning it does not include the downloads through Game Pass on Xbox and PC. Therefore, the total number of players is much higher than the sales figure suggests.
Soundtrack Success and Record-Breaking Streams
In line with the “33” theme, the game’s soundtrack, composed by Lorien Testard, reached 33 million streams in its first three weeks of release. As of now, the number has surpassed 90 million streams. The most popular track, Lumière, has alone accumulated more than 13 million streams across all platforms.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is an acclaimed role-playing game available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. The game draws inspiration from classic Japanese RPGs. Although it features turn-based combat, players can also engage in interactive mechanics like defending with blocks and dodges to avoid damage and launch counterattacks.
