LG Smart TVs Now Support Xbox Cloud Gaming
The Xbox Cloud Gaming service allows you to play compatible games from Game Pass from anywhere, without needing a powerful PC or console. You can even play games directly from a console if you don’t want to install them. All you need is a compatible PC, smartphone, tablet, or in some cases, Smart TVs. Previously, some Samsung Smart TVs supported this feature, and now LG has joined in.
Xbox Cloud Gaming on LG Smart TVs
LG has announced the beta version of the Xbox Cloud Gaming app for their Smart TVs. This service will work on LG TVs that have webOS 24 or newer, with plans to add support for the company’s StandbyMe displays soon. All 2025 LG Smart TV models are already compatible, while some 2022 and 2024 models will receive the Xbox Cloud Gaming feature through a firmware update and by downloading the Xbox app from the TV’s app store.
How to Play on LG Smart TVs
To play, you’ll need an eligible LG TV model, an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, and a Bluetooth wireless controller. You can use either an Xbox controller or even a Sony DualSense controller.
