NVIDIA Confirms May 19 Launch Date for RTX 5060
NVIDIA has officially confirmed the release date for its most affordable GeForce RTX 50 model, the RTX 5060. It will be available globally starting on May 19, with the launch scheduled for 9:00 AM PT. This announcement came directly from NVIDIA on their Twitter (X) account, alongside the full technical specifications of the new GPU.
Specifications of the RTX 5060
The RTX 5060 will be the smallest model in the RTX 50 family, featuring the new Blackwell architecture. It will have 3,840 CUDA cores, which is 768 fewer than the RTX 5060 Ti. The GPU will operate at a base speed of 2.28 GHz, with a boost speed of up to 2.5 GHz. It also promises 614 AI TOPS in its Tensor cores and 58 TFLOPs in the RT cores, making it an ideal choice for AI-related tasks and ray tracing. Additionally, it will support DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation.
The RTX 5060 will come with 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, using a 128-bit memory bus and offering 448 GB/s bandwidth. Its TGP (Total Graphics Power) will be 145W. The GPU will also handle a maximum temperature of 89ºC, which is 2ºC higher than the model above it, the RTX 5060 Ti. However, it seems there will be no “founders” edition designed by NVIDIA, meaning we will only see custom models from major manufacturers.
