RTX 5090 – Has A New Driver Improved Performance & The 1% Lows?
War Thunder

War Thunder is a free-to-play vehicular combat multiplayer game that focuses on historical battles across World War II and the Cold War. Developed by Gaijin Entertainment, it features a wide range of aircraft, tanks, and naval vessels from various nations. Players can participate in large-scale battles with other players, completing objectives and striving for victory.

Then in our last rasterisation game, War Thunder, we find some decent performance increases, with 1080p being our only decrease, but with this being less than 1% in the averages and with our frame rates already reaching over 600 FPS, it makes no difference whatsoever, whilst the lows are a bit better with 4% more performance.
1440p is better off since we don’t have that pesky CPU bottleneck holding us back as much, and with 5% more frames in the averages and nearly 7% in the lows, you see much better improvements from the new driver.
Then at 4K we see the performance increases drop a little, but not by too much, with 3% more performance in the averages and 6% in the lows. Like multiple other games however, this title sees some staggering frame rates pretty much consistently, so increases like this don’t make any difference to how the game feels overall.
