SilverStone Launches Power Supply Capable of Supporting Four RTX 5080 GPUs Simultaneously
This week, SilverStone introduced its newest power supply unit (PSU), the Hela 2500Rz, which is strong enough to support four RTX 5080 graphics cards at the same time. Alternatively, users can connect up to three RTX 5090 cards thanks to the unit’s impressive 2,500W capacity.
SilverStone first revealed the Hela 2500Rz last year, but the company has now showcased the final design. The power supply includes four 12V-2×6 connectors, allowing users to connect the four RTX 5080 cards if needed.
Features of the Hela 2500Rz
This power supply unit has earned a Platinum certification from Cybenetics, which is the highest energy efficiency rating a PSU can receive. It is also equipped with a 135mm fan with double ball bearings, capable of spinning up to 2,000RPM. During average load, the fan runs between 500 and 600RPM, and it doesn’t even start spinning when the PSU is under 10% usage for silent operation.
As expected from a premium product, the SilverStone Hela 2500Rz includes several protection features, such as OCP, OPP, OVP, SCP, UVP, and OTP.
A Power Supply So Strong That Not Every Outlet Can Handle It
The Hela 2500Rz is dual-voltage, but it won’t work with 110V outlets. These outlets are not capable of supplying enough power to handle its enormous 2,500W capacity. This means that in several cities across the U.S., this PSU cannot be used.
However, this is not a major concern for SilverStone, as the Hela 2500Rz is intended for professional use and workstations. The company has not yet disclosed the price or availability of the product, but it is expected to be one of the most expensive power supplies on the market.
