Ubisoft Plans 9 New Assassin’s Creed Games by 2031
After the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows in March, which will continue to receive new content and updates in the coming months, many fans are wondering what the next game in the series will be. There are already several announced games, like Assassin’s Creed Jade and Assassin’s Creed Codename HEXE. With some uncertainty due to internal changes and Ubisoft’s partnership with Tencent for managing the series, it has been reported by Insider Gaming that Ubisoft has a strategic plan for the next six years, with at least nine titles in development. These will include RPGs, remakes, multiplayer experiences, and a mobile game.
Upcoming Assassin’s Creed Titles for the Next Six Years
The next title in the series will be Jade, set in ancient China and designed for mobile phones. After that, Invictus will follow. It is a multiplayer game inspired by Fall Guys, where 16 players will compete in fast-paced matches. If everything goes as planned, Invictus will have at least five years of support.
Ubisoft is also working on Obsidian, a remake of Black Flag, which will be rebuilt from scratch using the Anvil engine. Later, Hexe will be released, promising a darker, more occult theme. This title is expected to launch after the Shadows content cycle ends. Following Hexe, the next major RPG will be Scarlet, possibly the rumored Assassin’s Creed Nebula, which will take players through diverse settings like India, the Mediterranean, and the Aztec empire.
More Games in Development
In addition, Stardust will be released, another remake with an unknown original title, and Emerald, a new PvE-focused multiplayer with a planned lifespan of five years. Finally, Ubisoft has plans for two more titles: a third RPG and a third remake, though the names, responsible studios, and settings are still unknown.
Ubisoft plans to alternate big RPGs every two or three years with smaller titles or remakes, maximizing the Assassin’s Creed franchise in different formats and gameplay styles.
