XFX RX 480 GTR Black Edition Graphics Card Review

Doom

Doom

Doom’s support for the Vulkan API makes it a really interesting game to assess the performance of various graphics cards. The XFX RX 480 GTR Black Edition comprehensively beats the ASUS STRIX GAMING GTX 1060 OC across the most frequently used resolutions. During 1080p testing, the graphics card almost achieved an 120 frames per second average and the minimum is well over 60. Once the resolution is set to 2560×1440, the frame rate is perfectly smooth and the minimum figure hovers around the 60 mark. Technically, you could play Doom on a 4K display while powering the Ultra preset but it’s not ideal for those who dislike the 30 frames per second experience.

  1. Clear thing showed in GPUz’ wattage number is that BIOS is cutting the OC abilities by not allowing higher voltage.
